About.
“Just say yes!” has always been my motto. I know this may fly in the face of conventional wisdom but it has allowed me to lead a very interesting life filled with creativity, travel, and extraordinary people - all of which has developed and nurtured my aesthetic taste and eye for design.
I’ve lived in California for most of my adult life after a childhood that included travels around the world. My early studies were in fashion design, which naturally evolved into styling and then marketing. I worked as the in-house Public Relations Director for award-winning designer Richard Tyler in Los Angeles, and later with international fashion and luxury brands including Halston, Hervé Léger, Azzedine Alaïa, Isaac Mizrahi, Daniel Swarovski Paris, and Harry Winston, managing celebrity placements and red-carpet partnerships through Film Fashion and for designer David Cardona.
While living in Santa Barbara and then Ojai, I founded a small company focused on marketing, branding and event production for businesses and non-profits. My favourite project was The Paper Ball, an annual fundraiser I conceived, designed and produced utilising paper as the primary element for both décor and attire. It paid homage to a 1936 surrealist ball created by my great-uncle Charles Henri Ford and his partner, Russian painter Pavel Tchelitchew, with contributions by Alexander Calder and other artists of the time.
Most recently, I spent five years in London - first working in professional organization, then as a private personal assistant, and finally as Head of PR for creative marketing collective IfNotNowWhen. Now, I’m thrilled to be back in sunny southern California, in the magical town of Ojai.
Since returning, I have had the pleasure of assisting many lovely people in transforming their homes, daily lives, and special moments. Through Evermore Scott, this work continues to evolve - supporting others in bringing a greater sense of order, beauty, and ease to daily life.
I look forward to connecting with many more of you in pursuit of la bella vita… la vida bella… la belle vie. It’s the same in every language - more beauty, more love, more joy - the beautiful life.
Client Reviews
“I fully trust Sarah’s eye when it comes to styling my home and wardrobe. She has an eclectic aesthetic and a talent for finding unexpected treasures - things I might not have chosen for myself but now can’t imagine living without.”
— S. Van Eyck - Ojai“Sarah understood exactly the aesthetic I wanted to create and translated it into an elegant, functional, and beautifully organized space.”
— S. Bingham - Montecito“My wardrobe was out of control - closets and dresser over filled with clothes I no longer wore. Sarah declutterred and organized, introducing methods to maintain order. Hiring her was the best decision I’ve made in years.”
